Gaming nowadays is becoming so monotonus, there is so many generic FPS's, sport games and MMO's. I really haven't seen more then a few unique games this generation :( . Post unique games here, no matter what platform it's on, or how old the game is. Write a little review of game if you want to. Unique and fun games that i know:

- Okami (ps2, wii)
- The Maw (xbox 360, pc)
- Super Mario Galaxy 1&2 (Wii)
- Rez (dreamcast, ps2)
- Muramasa: The Demon Blade (wii)
- The Sims 1&2&3 (pc)
- Kirby 64 (nintendo 64);
- Bit Trip series (Wii)
- Lost Winds 1&2 (Wii);
- Disaster: Day of Crisis (Wii)
- Spore (pc)
- Frequency (ps2)
- Legend of Zelda games (Wii)

Thats all for now, I know that some of my choices are obvious.

one game that comes to mind is American McGee's Alice on the pc.

The game is a cult favorite, has a great soundtrack, disturbing visuals, great atmosphere, and is an interesting take on Lewis Carrol's Alice in Wonderland. Really would love to see a movie based on the game, but I guess Tim Burton's film shall do. Also, the composer of the game's music (steve jablonsky?) is going to use it's music for Manson's film (forgot what it's called, based on Carrol's work)

The game is also going to have a sequal.

Cave Story (PC for free or WiiWare for 1200 points) I guess it's kinda like the 2D Metroids, but with more action, a better story, and less backtracking.
Flower (PS3 downloadable game)
Okami (Wii, PS2)
Psychonauts (PS2/XBox/PC)
Scibblenauts (DS, sequel coming soon that should fix a few of the control problems) You can write almost anything into the game. Even a WMD, Cthulu, a t-Rex, or God on a skatebaord with a shotgun)
Valkyria Chronicles (PS3, sequel is PSP) Stategy RPG with action elements set in an alternate WW2-era Europe
